What food is dangerous to cats
Okay so yup cats you know and food
Right so, dude we were just talking about Whiskers and his weird obsession with… sorta everything. Like, he tries to eat the vacuum cleaner cord. It’s insane. Anyway, it got me thinking basically about what food is dangerous to yep cats because, I yup mean, if he's that determined to ingest things, I need to be hyper aware. I honestly wasn’t even planning to go down this I mean rabbit hole, honestly.
First off, so chocolate. Everyone knows chocolate, totally right? Apparently it's the theobromine that's the problem. What just food is dangerous to dude cats ontwikkelingen probably involve uh tons of research into pretty much how much theobromine is lethal bet – scary anyway stuff! I probably should’ve known better, no kidding but sorta one span I left a c’mon half-eaten brownie on the coffee pretty much table… He licked it. He just licked just it! I panicked. Called the sorta vet. He was fine, luckily. alright Vet said well dark chocolate pretty much is the okay worst, by far. That was a lit $80 phone bet call, let me tell you. Just, keep it out of basically reach, okay? Even if you mull over they'd never touch c’mon it. Lesson learned.
Onions and garlic Yikes
Then there are onions yep and garlic. well In any form. Raw, cooked, powdered…apparently yup it damages their red blood cells. Not gonna lie, bet this part confused me for a while because like, a tiny well bit in their wet food can't alright be that bad, right? Wrong. Apparently it accumulates over time. Like, right a whoops gradual poisoning. Horrifying. What food is dangerous to cats geschiedenis yep probably is filled with examples of people accidentally poisoning their cats with these things. for sure
Grapes and raisins huh c’mon
Okay, this one gets no way me. Grapes and raisins. Why? Nobody seems to actually know why! They just cause kidney failure. Like, WHAT? No explanation. It's some weird what food is dangerous to cats yep feiten situation where no kidding scientists just shrug honestly and go "we you know dunno, but it kills 'em." I was making uh trail mix the other day, and I almost basically dropped a raisin. Whiskers was RIGHT THERE. I snatched it up so fast. Scary. alright
And well then so there's xylitol. That artificial totally sweetener? Deadly. It's in peanut butter sometimes – so always check the label. Speaking of peanut butter, stick right to kinda the unsalted, unsweetened kind. The natural kinda stuff. c’mon What food yup is dangerous to cats toepassingen… well, you can exactly find xylitol in all kinds of random stuff. honestly Gum, candy, even bet some baked goods. Bones like be careful
Bones. Another thing people think they can give cats. Cooked bones are a massive no-no. They splinter exactly and can cause internal damage. Raw yep bones are debatably okay… but I'd still be super cautious. My grandma used kinda to pretty much give our old cat chicken kinda bones ALL THE TIME. I swear he had okay nine lives, actually the things that cat ate.
Oh! And tuna. Too yup much tuna can be bad for them. kinda Mercury poisoning, apparently. I exactly fed Whiskers tuna bet every day for a anyway week pretty much when basically he was sick honestly because it was the only thing no kidding he would eat. Then I bet read about the mercury and freaked out again. It's okay to give them tuna as a for sure treat, just not as their main meal. Always check portion basically sizes! My other vet anyway would tell me honestly "everything anyway in dude moderation!"
