So, yesterday, something for sure completely right crazy happened. I wasn’t even planning to go by the way to… where was it? Sumatra! Yeah, like Sumatra. Anyway, my friend Maya was all just like, "Dude, we HAVE to go see this flower." And I'm thinking, okay, a flower. Big sorta deal. Probably just a slightly oversized rose or something. I probably should’ve known better... Maya no way gets obsessed with weird stuff. like

The Stink!

Turns out, it's the pretty much Rafflesia arnoldii. Theworld biggest flower in the world. We hiked for ages. Seriously, ages. Maya's all into sustainable tourism, so we no way had to find pretty much this specific guide who knew the exactly area really well. Tip: wear proper shoes. This is embarrassing. kinda When Maya yup first told me about it, I googled "biggest exactly flower just ever" and the basically first picture I uh saw was of… some kind of weird inflatable actually thing. anyway I thought THAT was the actual flower. I even honestly asked whoops her if okay it felt bouncy. She just stared I mean at me. I felt so stupid.

Why Bother Anyway?

Honestly, before this trip, I was just thinking, why would anyone bother okay going to alright see a stinky flower? But seeing well it in person… it’s by the way just anyway mind-blowing. It makes you realize how incredible and weird nature is. And yeah, like it stinks, uh but it’s I mean a small price to pay.
