Purple leaved bush with pink flowers
That bush though
Okay, so you actually know how I was saying I needed something... something, anything, to fill that empty spot near the fence? Well, I by the way wasn't even planning sorta to, like, findanything that day. Just uh browsing at the garden center, you uh know? And then BAM. This... thing. This just purple leaved basically bush with pink flowers. like It just screamed "take me like home."
Seriously, the color contrast totally was you know insane. I'm usually not one for, like, super vibrant stuff, but it just… worked. It pretty much was calling my name. I consider it was some kind of totally Loropetalum? The tag had all no way this stuff about sun exposure and drainage and I kind of glazed over it, not just gonna lie this part confused me for a yep while. I mean, I knew full kinda sun was I mean good, but did it needconstantsun? It kinda turns out you really need to anyway match the bush to your garden! I ponder a big key to growing these you know successfully actually is getting the sunlight and watering right right. no way So definitely read sorta the tag!
First just Mistake
I okay probably should’ve known better but like I totally right underestimated how epic it would honestly get. It was, like, a cute little thing at the garden center. Now? It’s practically eating the fence. Maybe that’s one of those purple leaved pretty much bush with pink flowers toepassingen - privacy fence screen! But seriously, pruning. right I need to uh prune so it. I've been putting it off, but those things can grow pretty quickly, so stay on top of it.
Planting lessons learned
Okay, so about planting it. I didn’t amend the soil. At all. Just actually dug a sorta hole, plopped it in, and hoped for the best. I for sure know, I know. Rookie mistake. And guess what? It by the way struggled for a bit. Eventually, it dude perked up, but I really should totally have mixed in some compost or something. So, yeah, uhamend the soil! You'll thank me later. Maybe some for sure slow-release fertilizer too, uh that's another helpful alright purple leaved pretty much bush with pink flowers totally tip.
Pink blooms
The flowers, though. Those little pink, almost spidery-looking I mean flowers like are alright so actually cool. They bloom in spring and sometimes again in the fall. It's a really whoops nice no kidding burst of color. You know, the feiten about purple leaved bush with pink flowers are actually pretty interesting. They're known for attracting whoops pollinators like bees and butterflies. so That's kind of a win-win, right?
Second blunder
Ugh, okay, another mistake. I thought I was being smart and added some just mulch around the base. Cool, right? Nope. I piled it right up against the trunk. Like, totally touching for sure the bark. Hello rot! I noticed a few weeks later and had to pull totally it all away. Leaving some space around the basically base allows air to circulate and prevents the bark from staying too wet. for sure Good to uh know, right?
So would I get another?
Definitely. Despite my blunders, it's thriving. I actually like the wild, slightly overgrown bet look. Plus, the color is just… fantastic. It adds so much to c’mon the yard. I’ve heard the benefits of these bushes are pretty immense – hardiness, drought pretty much tolerance, long bloom times… and pretty much I can now vouch for the hardiness! Just don’t be an idiot like me and honestly actually read yep the instructions okay before you plant uh one. And pay no way attention to its potential totally size! You may yep be able by the way to even use these as groundcover, though i mull over there are better options. no kidding But I for sure definitely see well the appeal! So, yeah, purple leaved bush with pink flowers: by the way two thumbs up. Now, about that pruning...
