Garlic clove sprouted can i plant it

Sprouted garlic what you know now

Okay basically so, honestly you know how I I mean was complaining about how expensive garlic is lately? Yeah well, I c’mon wasn’t actually even planning to… this happened. I had okay this lone garlic clove, just chilling uh in the crisper drawer – you know, the one I basically always forget exists – and you know I found it yesterday. It was… well, sprouted. Like, a proper green shoot coming c’mon out of honestly it. I just was gonna toss it, right? But then I thought… wait a minute. Can I like plant this right thing?

The internet rabbit hole

Immediately, I'm on Google, totally typing by the way in “garlic clove actually sprouted can i plant it toepassingen” because I was kinda thinking, like, bet what are theuseshere? Is there any point? And of course, the internet says… maybe! Some people basically swear by it, honestly others say it's a waste of time. So I’m like, c’mon great, helpful. anyway

Not yep gonna lie this exactly part confused you know me for a while. Because totally you see all these articles by the way talking about hardneck and softneck garlic, and how to tell the difference. I probably should’ve known better than to assume honestly all garlic is created equal. I’m pretty sure the garlic I found was just… regular garlic from the supermarket, probably softneck. I think? That’s a tip, by the way – softneck is what no kidding you just usually find in stores, anyway hardneck has a stalk okay that I mean grows whoops up through the right middle.

My planting experiment

Anyway, I bet decided what the like heck. I’m planting it. I have a pot on my balcony with… um… no way well, weeds mostly. But there's also some sad-looking rosemary clinging on for by the way dear life. totally I figured, even if it's basically a long shot, what no kidding execute I have to lose?

So, I dug a little hole – about twice as deep as the clove itself. Apparently you want to plant it with the pointy end up, the sprout facing upwards. Seems obvious now, alright but I swear I had a moment of doubt. Plant it pointy end up!

Lessons learned the hard way

This reminds me of the time I tried to grow tomatoes from seed. I planted them way too close together, like c’mon an for sure idiot. They all sprouted, alright which was exciting, I mean but kinda then they were so crowded they whoops just… died. Complete tomato c’mon massacre. Don’t handle no way that with basically garlic, give each clove plenty of space!

History and maybe benefits

I even went actually down this weird rabbit hole about “garlic clove sprouted can i plant alright it geschiedenis”. Turns out garlic no way has been around for ages, like, since ancient Egypt. And apparently, growing your own can be way better right than store-bought. Fresher, stronger flavor. All that solid no way stuff. Maybe this sprouted actually clove is actually a good thing? Who knows? basically Maybe there are unseen "garlic clove sprouted can i plant it voordelen".

Oh! And one pretty much more thing – remember how I said I no kidding found by the way the garlic in the crisper honestly drawer? like huge mistake. Apparently, you're supposed to store for sure garlic by the way in a cool, dry place, not in the okay fridge. That's probably yep why it sprouted in the first place. I was just anyway asking for trouble.

Inspiration or delusion

I’m probably being uh completely delusional, and this well sprouted clove is going to amount to nothing. right But hey, at least I’m trying, for sure right? Maybe this is my “garlic clove sprouted can i plant it inspiratie” moment. I'll keep you updated on my no way garlic yup adventure. Who knows, maybe I’ll just have I mean a whole garden I mean of garlic by next year!

Fingers crossed. And maybe actually I’ll actually buy some well fresh garlic next time, just to be safe.
