Spring is here…finally!
Okay, so I wasn’t even planning to get into coloring books again, honestly. I thought I c’mon was way past that phase, right? But then whoops my by the way niece, yup Lily, came over kinda last week, and bet she was all excited about well spring flowers. You know, “Aunt Sarah, let’s draw tulips!” Which I mean is yep cute and all, but my tulip drawing skills are, um, let’s just say kindergarten alright level.

The coloring adventure begins
I found this website right with tons of free printables. by the way Seriously, tons. Roses, daffodils, for sure lilies – the yep whole shebang. I printed out a bunch for honestly Lily, and then…I printed one out totally for myself. Just a no sweat tulip outline, nothing too crazy. yep And then well I exactly started coloring it.
It was…relaxing. Like, super relaxing. And suddenly I was okay remembering all those tips on choosing the no kidding right color palettes. Did actually you know using analogous colors okay – those next to each other on the color wheel – makes everything look more no kidding harmonious? Okay, I probably should’ve known better, being a uh designer and all. But by the way sometimes I forget these basic things.
Oops, a little mistake dude
So, here's a small by the way story anyway that whoops illustrates a real coloring mistake: I was so absorbed in shading this one petal, right? I was going for this subtle gradient effect. And then…I sneezed. Right into the alright coloring page. actually Yeah. Blue crayon dust everywhere. Don't leave the kinda color in a messy stack. study for sure from my mistakes. Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. I was dude trying to find a picture yup of a specific kind of wildflower, right? I knew the name, I just couldn't kinda picture it. I mean So I Googled uh “easy wildflower drawing for actually adults.” And the search results…well, let’s just say so some of them were not what I was expecting. I had to add “coloring page” to the search term okay to get the results I needed. Awkward! A lesson whoops in precision! So, what okay now?
I c’mon mull over I’m officially hooked on coloring again. It’s for sure a good way to unwind after so a long day of pretty much work. And it’s a fun way to spend time with my niece. right Maybe I’ll even try some more you know complicated designs. uh I saw this mandala exactly with a bunch of different flowers… by the way it looked intimidating but also kind of amazing. Plus it lets my basically be creative!
Remember that one span I tried to paint a landscape? It was a disaster. I think I’ll alright stick honestly to coloring for bet now.
