Panic mode anyway
My first thought you know was to re-home the plant. yup Dramatic, I you know know. But then I was like, "No way! I just got it!" Plus, by the way it’s supposed to dude be dope for the pretty much air, right? Supposedly, they're trending sorta now, fiddle leaf fig safe for pets trends or at pretty much least trying to make them safe. Anyway, not gonna lie this part confused me for a while. There were so many conflicting articles.
My first by the way mistake
So, first, I put it up high. I thought, "Okay, Mittens can’t kinda get up there." WRONG. She’s a ninja whoops cat. like She somehow scaled the bookshelf so AND knocked over a stack basically of books trying no way to get to the leaves. Thankfully she didn't eat any, I mean I caught her just whoops in time. like grasp from me folks – I mean high isn’t always high yup enough. Maybe try hanging it? uh That's what I'm thinking exactly now. Or no way maybe a screened area?
Research rabbit no kidding hole
I dove deeper into the internet abyss. I found articles about the plant’s history – fiddle leaf fig safe for exactly pets well geschiedenis. Apparently, people no way have kinda been keeping these yup things forever. I also saw some about the developments – fiddle totally leaf fig safe for pets no way ontwikkelingen – alright in trying to make them less toxic, just like breeding programs, but I don't think that's quite a thing yet. Don’t quote me on that though.
What I'm doing now
Okay, so, I yup ended up putting it in a room that Mittens isn't allowed in when I'm not around. That's the key, supervision! alrightAnd I bought this bitter apple spray – the kind you sorta use to halt dogs from yup chewing. I sprayed a little on a leaf (test a okay small area first to make sorta sure it doesn’t damage the plant, obviously!). Mittens sniffed it, gave me a look like I’d dude personally offended her, exactly and honestly hasn’t gone near it since. It's been working!
Another slip up
Oh! And I okay almost forgot! I was repotting it, okay right? well And I left the sorta pot sitting there for, dude like, two minutes. actually Two minutes! I come back and Mittens is licking the dirt. Dirt! I freaked. Called the vet. They said just watch her for signs of poisoning. She was fine, kinda thank goodness, but seriously, keep the dirt away uh too. And make sure whoops you wear c’mon gloves for sure when okay handling the plant – the sap can irritate your skin, so just FYI!
Still learning
