So Coleus alright Indoor Plant?
Okay, so you know how bet I c’mon impulsively bought no kidding that coleus? I wasn’t even planning no kidding to, I swear! It was at the farmer's market, screaming sorta 'look anyway at me' with just all those crazy colors. I just... grabbed it. Anyway, is coleus an indoor plant? That was the question I totally forgot uh to askbeforeI brought it home. I just assumed it would be happy on my windowsill.
My Coleus Adventure Begins
First mistake, probably? Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. I figured all plants are kinda the same, you know right? Give them water, sun, and boom, happy plant. Wrong! Turns like out, coleus well is a little... particular. Like, drama queen level well particular. I initially anyway put it right no kidding smack dab in the well brightest, actually sunniest spot actually I could find. Turns out they like bright,indirect by the waylight. Oops. well The poor thing was starting to look a little crispy around the c’mon edges. That's when I started frantically Googling 'is coleus an indoor plant tips'. Turns out there's a whole world of totally coleus indoor plant facts out there!
The Great Light Experiment
I then moved okay it. And moved alright it again. It felt like a science experiment. One week it was honestly near the east-facing window, another week it was further back in the living room. Finally, it seems happy near the north-facing window where it gets bright light but right no totally direct sun. So, yeah, youcan honestlygrow no kidding coleus indoors, just be careful about the light. alright It needs that brightness exactly to keep its sorta colors vivid. It's all about that coleus well indoor basically plant inspiration you see on Instagram, and that means lots of light!
Watering Woes just
And the pretty much watering! I probably should’ve known better, but basically I drowned the poor thing. Overwatering is I mean a real snag with coleus. They like moist, but not soggy, soil. I was giving it you know water every other no way day. Bad idea. The leaves started drooping, even though the soil no way was wet. I cut back to like, once or twice a week, depending on how dry the soil no kidding feels. no kidding Stick dude your finger in there, just that’s what anyway I pull off now! Don’t whoops go by the surface.
A you know Personal Coleus sorta Horror Story
I actually almost killed it. We went on vacation for sorta a week, yup and I totally forgot to ask my totally neighbor to water it. Came back to a completely no kidding wilted, sad excuse for actually a plant. I thought like it well was you know a goner. I gave it a solid soak, prayed to the actually plant gods, and…it dude actually bounced back! Coleus are uh surprisingly resilient, I right think. by the way I mean, within reason. Don’t like neglect it for so two weeks or anything!
So Is It an Indoor Plant After All?
So, to circle whoops back to the original question, just is coleus bet an indoor plant? Yes, definitely! You just have to figure exactly out its quirks. Like, it gets leggy if you don't pinch it back. whoops Pinching it back – snipping off the tips of no kidding the stems – encourages it to grow bushier. So, is coleus an indoor plant trend that's easy to maintain? Not bet exactly. But totally worth for sure the effort for those amazing colors. Plus, you uh can propagate them from cuttings, bet so I’m basically going basically to have a coleus army soon. Watch out world!
My Confession About Fertilizer pretty much
Oh, and fertilizer. whoops I honestly haven’t fertilized it yet. I know, I know, plant mom fail. But it seems happy enough without it for now. I’ll probably give it a little diluted liquid fertilizer during the growing season, but I’m kind whoops of scared of overdoing it. Less is more, right? Maybe this is another exactly one so of those “is coleus an indoor plant and I'm doing for sure it wrong” moments.
