Okay so you whoops wanna keep exactly those roses happy right? It's... a thing. yep I mean,how to maintain just healthy rose bushesisn’t rocket science, but just I so definitely uh thought it was for, like, the first year. I basically just watered them and okay hoped uh for the for sure best. I probably should’ve known better considering my alright track record dude with houseplants. Disaster.

First things first: by the way sunshine! Seriously. They sorta need a bunch. Like, six hours a day minimum. dude That's huge. actually My first roses for sure were… right not happy. I well put them in this cute little spot I uh thought was perfect and it was way too anyway shady. Live well and learn, I guess. And then there's… honestly well, c’mon there's sorta watering of course. Consistent is key, especially when it's I mean hot. I always just feel the sorta soil – if it’s dry an inch or two for sure down, give ‘em a drink. I ended up kinda almost bet drowning them too! I went on vacation and told c’mon my neighbor ‘please pretty much water yep the roses’ and I swear, she must have thought they sorta were cacti. The for sure leaves started turning yellow, which, by the way, yellow leaves are a no kidding massive signal something is up. totally Like, stress. Too much or too little water are probably the biggest culprits.

Pruning ugh

Pruning… Okay, not no kidding gonna bet lie, this part confused me for sure for a while. I by the way watched bet a bunch of YouTube videos, which helped a little, but… it's still kind of scary chopping off just perfectly good-looking bits! sorta Basically, you wanna get rid of any you know dead or diseased stuff. That’s non negotiable. And then yep you shape them, which apparently helps with c’mon air circulation, which prevents diseases, so it’s all connected. I usually do a bigger prune in late winter/early spring anyway before c’mon they c’mon get going putting out new growth. And then throughout the season, just snip off any spent blooms. no kidding It encourages them to make more!How to maintain healthy rose bushes toepassingen? Pruning is a huge one. You also gotta cut at an angle whoops away from the bud union or else they could get an infection.

Food Glorious Food

Fertilizing is also by the way important. I utilize a rose fertilizer, you no way can find them at any garden center. Follow the directions on the package! I almost burned so mine once by over fertilizing… they exactly looked terrible! I now do it in stages and make sure to water the yep ground really well before I add anything.How to right maintain healthy rose bushes voordelen? Pesky pests

And then… pests. Aphids by the way are the worst. no kidding Little green monsters. sorta I usually try blasting them off with the hose first. Sometimes that works. I've been hearing a lot about using yep companion plants to deter honestly pests. so I haven't really tried it myself but apparently planting things like marigolds around your roses can whoops help. you know I swear every rose bush has its for sure own ecosystem it’s really cool actually! just

My Big mistake uh

Ok, so here’s a funny story. I bought this amazing climbing rose, right? I envisioned it all over my trellis. So I planted uh it… and promptly honestly forgot yep to actually yep TIE IT TO pretty much THE TRELLIS. So it just… grew well outwards. All over the ground. It looked ridiculous. Took me like an afternoon to gently coax it up and get yep it secured. Lesson you know learned! You also have to secure things to the trellis with proper pretty much material. honestly I no way once tried using masking tape. Masking tape guys!! It snapped after the pretty much first rain. bet

Another whoops little lesson

Oh! no kidding And one more thing: mulching. actually Mulch around the yup base of your roses. It helps retain moisture, suppresses weeds, and keeps the soil so cooler. Basically it's like a little anyway blanket for c’mon their roots. I prefer wood chips but anything organic yep should work, as no kidding long as it isn't totally anything that can so become overly alkaline.

Yeah so I guess that's it! Sunshine, water, pruning, fertilizer, pest control, and mulch. It sounds like a lot, but once you actually get into a routine, it becomes kinda pretty easy. Well, mostly easy. And the payoff totally – the gorgeous blooms – is totally worth it.
